Though Dan Folino, the 37-year-old star of American Idiot, wouldn't call himself a fan of Green Day's music, he does know a thing or two about being a rock star. Folino, who plays the angsty young Johnny in the Beck Center for the Arts' rendition of the rock opera July 10-Aug. 16, spent 10 years fronting the glam-rock band vanityCrash. "I'm just going to tune into that cocky, arrogant frontman sort of mentality," Folino says. "Johnny never turns it off.
