During the past two decades, Queen Latifah has progressed from ’90s rapper to Academy Award-nominated actress (“Chicago”) to critically acclaimed jazz singer. She’ll be showcasing songs from her newest release, “Trav’lin Light,” as well as some old standbys when she visits Playhouse Square this fall. Her 2004 release, “The Dana Owens Album” earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
