Bundle up for outdoor music bash Brite Winter Fest Feb. 20 as it leaves Ohio City's cozy restaurants and bars for the West Bank of the Flats. Last year's event helped draw an estimated 20,000 people to Ohio City in one night, filling venues early and making parking and traffic a struggle. The new heart of Brite Winter will be Elm and Main avenues. Part of both streets will be shut down to accommodate large tents with stages, stations with coffee, hot chocolate and beer, and more food trucks than was possible on Ohio City's cramped streets. Bands such as Honeybucket, Seafair and California-based the Mowgli's will perform on six indoor and outdoor stages. Nearby Harbor Inn, McCarthy's Downtown and Music Box Supper Club will serve as indoor venues for people looking to hop inside to warm their toes and jam out. "That's one of the cool things about Brite, and we are trying to replicate that as best we can," says executive director Brian Horsburgh. britewinter.com
