Crank up the volume on our batch of 30 songs from Northeast Ohio’s music scene, all featured in this month’s edition of our Cleveland Current playlist.
The mix includes:
- a taste of legendary The Mice bandleader Bill Fox’s new album Resonance
- a swoony ballad from sibling band Compass
- a ripper from How We Feel, which plays Globe Iron’s opening night show on May 2
- a celestial new song from pop singer JSSZCA
- a sample of rapper King Kalim’s masterful flow
- a bit of headbang-worthy music from Midnight
- a poppy, experimental rap single from Neo Kiio
- a sludgy punk moment from Skwerm
- a vulnerable collab between rappers Slagle and Ripp Flamez
... and more.
A highlight in the mix is Andrea Nicole King’s new album Harvest Love.
The Northeast Ohio native wrote the 13-track project in just three days and recorded it live over six months.
“I want this album to be a voice for anyone who has ever felt silenced in their pain. It’s about reclaiming your identity and finding strength in the resilience of healing,” King said in a statement. “Love doesn’t die because it was neglected — it evolves. It’s the beauty that comes after the storm, the rebirth after decay. It’s the season where you plant, nurture and Harvest Love.”
