Hispanic Burlesque Showcase
Things get spicy as burlesque stars from across the country such as Portland’s Ruby Rounds, Chicago’s Ms B Rose and Cleveland’s Bella Sin slip into sequined dresses, slap on some seductive eyeliner and demonstrate the fine art of Mexican folk dance. MIX at CMA
You better work on that haute look. The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Akron chapter of the International Interior Design Association mix things up again this year for Product Runway, which challenges designers to create couture ensembles from decor and industrial materials. Ingenuity’s Bal: Aquatique
Be ye mermaid, Poseidon or just a little fish in a big pond, this water-themed burlesque features art, performance and more all channeling the spirit of a 100-year-old Cleveland arts group, the Kokoon Arts Club. The party also seeks to inform, honors and educate revelers about Lake Erie and how we can improve its water quality. 4 Miles 4 Water
This 4-mile fun run and walk from nonprofit Drink Local, Drink Tap moves from Edgewater Park to the West Bank of the Flats this year, but the flow is still in a positive direction: water advocacy and raising funds . The event features a Bloody Mary bar, brunch-themed food truck food and the All Things Water Festival with games and prizes and zero waste because everything is recycled, reused or composted. Fish CLE
Pining for some perch or walleye? Anglers of all ages can toss a line for free — Lake Erie fishing usually requires a fee — at this annual North Coast Harbor event. Entertainment from soap bubble wizard Dr. Ur Awesome, a two-time Guinness Book of World Records record holder, to a chalk art zone will keep fish-averse folks happy.
