Night Market
The final Night Market of the 2016 season, the outdoor AsiaTown festival says its goodbye with a bang, with more than 100 vendors, from bubble tea makers to Chinese street food vendors and pottery crafters. Opening Weekend for Cleveland Orchestra
It’s that time of the year again: when the curtain pulls back on the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance. Spearheaded by conductor Franz Welser-Möst and organist Paul Jacobs, the orchestra opens the season with Jean Sibelius’ Second Symphony, known as the “Symphony of Independence,” due to its relevancy during Finland’s break from Russia in 1917. Then on Saturday, the orchestra hosts a gala evening with Grammy Award-winning pianist Emanuel Ax, who performs Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 2, Remembering Gatsby: Foxtrot for the Orchestra by Harbison and Suite from Billy the Kid by Copland.
