Coquette Patisserie
While Coquette is known for its sophisticated macarons, co-owner Shane Culey is an oyster egghead. Let him school you on bivalves and bubbly as you try a few of his favorites, such as Raspberry Point oysters from Prince Edward Island, Canada ($2 each) at the Uptown shop. 11607 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 216-331-2841, coquettepatisserie.com
L'Albatros Brasserie and Bar
It wouldn't be French without oysters, and chef Zack Bruell's University Circle brasserie is all about the classics. The kitchen moves through about 200 every weekend but sticks to only one variety at a time ($14 for a half-dozen) so they're always fresh. 11401 Bellflower Road, Cleveland, 216-791-7880, albatrosbrasserie.com
Pier W

Try the sampler ($18), with eight half-shells of three or four different types, plus a cucumber-mango mignonette. 12700 Lake Ave., Lakewood, 216-228-2250, pierw.com
