Fries and ice cream are a religious experience for SweetieFry owner Keith Logan. After taking a faith development class, he left the corporate world for something more fulfilling. The answer was opening a shop last October focusing on devilishly good fries — that go through a secret two-day, eight-step process — and heavenly artisanal ice cream flavors such as French toast and maple bacon. Despite the quirky concept, Logan can make a believer out of anyone. Just try the popular funnel cake fries ($8.50), made from a sweet batter that is fried and doused in cinnamon and sugar. "It has a transformative effect on people," he says. "You will remember the moment you had them." 2307 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, 216-932-2300, sweetiefry.com
