Pastitsio, $16.25 | The Mad Greek

For the last 30 years, regulars to the Mad Greek in Cleveland Heights have enjoyed the traditional pastitsio. "It's kind of like a Greek lasagna," says owner Chris Chopra, who recently overhauled the menu to include more modern fare. Noodles are paired with ground beef and tomato sauce. Then the same flavorful kasseri cheese used in saganaki — a Greek version of fried mozzarella that's flambeed with Barcadi 151 and Metaxa brandy — is shaved into the sauce.
