When Lager Heads started brewing in 2010, the beer was a supporting star crafted to complement the hickory-smoked barbecue at its smokehouse restaurant. But in 2015, Lager Heads put its brews under the spotlight by adding a separate brewery and tasting room in downtown Medina. As Medina County’s first craft brewer, it offers something for both the traditionalist and the adventurer — from pleasant, piney IPAs to the heady caramel malt of the Irish red ale Bed Head Red ($5.50 for 16 ounces).
Try them all while playing table shuffleboard next to one of the microbrewery’s 15 stainless steel brewing tanks. If you’re hungry, head over to the nearby restaurant and order one of their new pizzas, with toppings ranging from loaded meatza to spicy pickle.. Our Pick: Get wild with the Sunshine Blue, a wheat beer that has fresh blueberries floating in the beer.. 325 W. Smith Road, Medina, 330-721-2337, lagerheads.us
