Set back from the road in a former office space, McArthur’s Brew House nearly goes unnoticed. But once you step inside, the Cuyahoga Falls nanobrewery dazzles with string lights, reclaimed wood accents and a bar trimmed with corrugated steel. Kevin McArthur, a veteran homebrewer and full-time firefighter who cut his teeth at Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., opened McArthur’s alongside his wife, Abbey, this year to deliver ironclad flavor profiles. From a bright, subtly sweet strawberry mango ale ($5 for 16 ounces) to a cherry sweet tart sour beer ($5 for 16 ounces) that rival your favorite cocktails, each handcrafted brew is in constant rotation. And if what you’re drinking gets your creative juices flowing, drop off your ideas with the bartender — McArthur’s may use them to craft concoctions such as a pumpkin ale and blueberry wheat ale. Our Pick: The smooth toffee coffee porter ($5 for 16 ounces) is a nitrobrew that rivals your neighborhood mocha with English toffee coffee from Akron’s Pearl Coffee Co. 2721 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, 330-805-4600, mcarthursbrewhouse.com
