Some brothers fight. Others compete. But siblings Adrian and Cosmin Bota prefer to partner. In March the Romanian-born duo opened Piccadilly Artisan Yogurt on Coventry Road in the Grog Shop's original location. The hip, renovated storefront offers a rotating selection of 10 organic self-serve frozen yogurt flavors, including vegan options. "Eating healthier is a growing trend and people like the idea that they can control the serving size themselves," says Adrian. He talks to us about the brothers' cool concept.
Q. What's special about your yogurt?
A. It's organic with active pro- and prebiotic cultures, and made with milk from grass-fed cows in California and Oregon. We're the only place in the Midwest to offer this. The vegan yogurt is made of coconut milk. We currently have 22 flavors in the rotation and they change every two to three weeks.
Q. What are some of your more unique toppings?
A. Seasonal, local and organic fresh fruits of all kinds, organic gummy bears, organic animal crackers, Sanders fudge and vegan Oreos. I like pomegranate yogurt with strawberries, granola, pecans, Nutella and our house-made whipped cream.
How did you choose this location?
A. We love being in a walkable neighborhood and hope to expand into similar communities like Lakewood and Ohio City.
