After months of renovations, Thai Thai’s new location opened for takeout in May, including upgrades such as 50 additional seats, a deep fryer, a walk-in cooler and a 6-foot-long, 4-foot-wide wok to cook up an assortment of Thai street food dishes. An extended menu adds a number of new items such as chicken satay ($7.95), skewered and grilled in a new charbroiler. Served with a house-made, warm peanut sauce and a spicy pickled cucumber relish made with onion, pepper and vinaigrette, it’s a versatile dish that shows off the heat and flavor of Thai Thai’s origins with whimsical presentation. “I’ve been learning how to present the food, put things together and play around,” says owner Kiwi Wongpeng. 13415 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 216-226-4890, thaithailakewood.com
