Megan Edwards, BSN, CCRN, is a clinical nurse in the critical care coronary unit at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. She is an outspoken advocate for patients and caregivers, having served on the hospital’s Nurse Practice Council for six years. Edwards helped develop the Rapid Response Team at Fairview Hospital and introduced proactive rounding on medical-surgical units, which decreased code blue events on those units. She recently presenting a poster on this data in May at a conference of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
