
Schrull, Dr. Patricia
Patricia Schrull, DNP, MBA, M.Ed., MSN, RN, has been an active and dedicated member of the Ohio League for Nursing (OLN) for more than 20 years. She currently serves as Chair of the OLN Continuing Education Committee, a role she has held since 2010. Her service to OLN also includes terms as a Board Member at Large and a member of the Nominating Committee. In recognition of her excellence in teaching, Pat received the OLN Excellence in Teaching Award in 2013, among other accolades. She has played an integral role in planning numerous Fall Conferences and OLN Summits and is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.
Pat recently developed the Associate Degree Nursing Program at the University of Akron Wayne College in Orrville, where she has been serving as Interim Program Director since September 2024. Her leadership in academic program development also includes initiatives in medical assisting and cosmetic therapy. Additionally, she previously served as Nursing Programs Administrator for the Associate Degree and Practical Nursing Programs at Lorain County Community College.
With nearly 50 years of nursing experience, Pat has practiced in emergency, critical care, cardiac and medical-surgical settings, as well as in nursing administration. Her academic contributions include clinical instructor roles at various universities and colleges. She is a published author and has served as a book reviewer, consultant, and editor.
Pat’s commitment extends beyond nursing education into community service. She is currently serving as vice president of the board for the Lorain County General Health District and a board of trustee member for the Elyria Public Library System. Her professional involvement includes active participation in numerous advisory groups and organizations, such as the Ohio Board of Nursing Advisory Group on Nursing Education, Hospice of the Western Reserve Advisory Board, Ohio Action Coalition, Medical Reserve Corps, Ohio Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Omicron Delta Chapter), and as Past President of the Ohio Organization of Practical Nurse Educators (OOPNE).
