Shpirt, Gena

When Gena Shpirt, BSN, RN, moved to the U.S. at 29, she signed up for English classes, began working as a nursing assistant and enrolled in nursing school. Throughout her 30-year nursing career, she has worked on medical-surgical and intensive care units. As nursing operations manager for the past 12 years at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, Shpirt has shown exceptional dedication, compassion and leadership. She is considered a true hero at South Pointe Hospital by her colleagues and leadership team.
