Janet Wirkus, BSN, RN, CNOR, has been an exceptional RN for 40 years, known for her compassion, humility, and dedication. She worked countless night shifts handling severe trauma cases and generously shared her knowledge with new nurses. A steady presence in the OR, Jan supported leaders with honesty and care, treating every patient like family. Surgeons often said, “It was the Jan show—everything was ready, and we were good to go.
