Tara Murgatroyd, BSN, RN, is a clinical nurse on a cardiac telemetry medical-surgical unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. An exceptional nurse and advocate for patients and colleagues, she has implemented several innovative solutions, including a patient acuity scoring tool that has revolutionized her unit’s workload distribution. Murgatroyd is the chair of the Unit Based Council, a representative of the hospital’s Shared Governance, co-chair of the Quality and Safety Committee and a member of the Patient and Family Centered Care Committee and Research and Innovation Committee.
