Kristen Klehr, 24
Musician, Cleveland Orchestra concert assistant
Perfect Date: Somewhere we've both never been to. Go explore and check it out together. I'm not originally from here, so I think it's fun to explore anywhere. Explore together. That way there's no comfort zone and we both can be by ourselves.
Something most people don't know about me: I'm a pretty open book, but I have a secret goal that I'm currently working on. I want to become basic conversationally fluent in as many languages as possible. The artists that I've been working with now, it's more fun if you can at least try. I do see myself as a world citizen. I want to travel, and it would be more fun.
My passion: Music is at the center of a lot of things lately. Streaming into that is concert production. I love when I have a creative vision and I can actually see it get put on the stage. That's really fulfilling to me. I love working with other passionate people. People that can drive you forward. That's cool. Keeps you going.
Biggest turn-on: Being passionate about something. It doesn't matter what it is. Also, kindness. Kindness catches my attention.
Biggest turnoff: Negative energy. I don't want to be surrounded by that. It's no fun.
I own too many of: Shoes
My favorite ... Place in Cleveland: Is it bad if I say where I work? I love Severance Hall because there's a lot of really good musical memories. I also like the Velvet Tango Room. It's kind of tucked away, but some of my friends play music there. ... Book: I've gotten into a lot of Malcolm Gladwell: Outliers, Blink. I'm kind of fascinated by the study of that side of the brain. ... Musician or band: That's like asking do you like music, Kristen? It's so hard for me to say. It depends on what I'm studying. ... Sports: I was a total jock and then went to a musical conservatory. As far as a sports team, I don't know if I really follow one. I've kind of been brought up on UCONN basketball. ... TV Shows: Right now I love New Girl. It's just so quirky and funny. I like comedies. ... Vacation destination: I've traveled a decent amount so far. I've never been to Australia. I'd like to go see the kangaroos. I think that'd be cool. ... Dessert: I'm not a big dessert person anymore. Maybe the occasional cheesecake. ... Blogs: I have The New York Times on my phone.
My usual hangout: I just moved to Little Italy, so I'm really hoping I'll find a couple niches. The Coffee House by Severance Hall. I'm excited to find some new places.
In high school I was ... the girl that did everything. I did sports, music and clubs. Had good grades. I was that girl.
My best feature: My smile. ... People say that.
My bad habit: I'm pretty hard on myself. I'm trying to get better at that.
My first kiss: It was middle school. At a friend's birthday party.
My guilty pleasure: I watch Cougar Town.
How my ex would describe me: That I'm a hard worker — ambitious.
Go out or stay in: Going out. Life's meant to be lived.
Early, late or right on time: Right on time, if not early.
Dogs or cats: Dogs hands down. Dogs are lovers. You never know what at cat's thinking. They just stare at you. Dogs say, "I'm here to love you."
Dancing ... yes or no? Yeah, on occasion.
Twitter ... yes or no? Facebook. I'm using it a little more professionally. I'd feel silly if I had a Twitter. Why would anyone sign in to see what I'm saying? What's so important about me? I would probably only use it professionally. To push concerts and what not.
My longest relationship: Two years
Beer, wine or martinis: Depends on the scene. I definitely can hang out and just have a beer with some friends. My go-to mixed drink is a vodka tonic.
Roses or chocolate: Flowers, but not roses
My No. 1 dating rule: Be sincere, please. There's a lot of superficial things in dating.
My Deal-breaker: Smoking
I hate when a date ... is really egotistical and arrogant.
But I love when a date... can keep up with me. That I can keep up with, and we can push each other along. I don't think about it to much. It's if we click, or if we don't. Someone that also has their own thing going on.
Worst pick-up line: I've heard tons. One guy I had met, and then five minutes later he turned around and introduces a group to me, saying, "This is my girlfriend." I was like, "No, that's not happening." And I'm terrible at comebacks. I wish I had a couple good ones.
If I could date anyone: A combo. Three of the SNL guys: Andy Samberg, Seth Meyers and Jay Pharoah all mixed into one. Samberg because he's cute. Meyers' humor and Pharoah's just smooth.
On a first date I never ... whip out the cell phone.
Best place to meet someone: I'd like to meet someone where I'm already in my natural habitat so they see the real me. Maybe at an event somewhere.
Most unusual place I've met someone: I did meet someone once when I was the artist wrangler for a showcase. He was one of the artists.
My take on Cleveland's singles scene: Ask me in a few weeks. This is definitely starting a new chapter of my life, moving to Little Italy. A lot of things are coming up.
What I find sexy about myself: I've been told that I have sexy legs.
Why I'm single: I work really hard, and I know for a fact now that some guys can't handle that. I'm looking for someone that can be compatible with that.
