Even if you’re not a VIP IRL, a visit to Marble Room makes you feel like one.
Whether for an anniversary, promotion or any night you want to make special, this is the place to impress.
The elaborate pink marble columns, sparkling chandeliers, rich and cozy velvet booths and gilded ceilings inside the former National City Bank building evoke the city’s 1920s splendor, while the fine-dining options of seafood, steaks and more match the opulence of your surroundings.
After all, this year’s Silver Spoon Award winner for best new restaurant is about more than just swanky spaces — it’s a welcome return to fine dining in Cleveland. (Though, admittedly, in real life, that can be expensive.)
Stellar options, such as the pan-seared rainbow trout ($29) with black rice, red Himalayan wheat berries and baby kale or the dry-aged 18-ounce Delmonico ($62) that delivers a nutty, buttery taste, masterfully show off executive chef Kyle Anderson’s ability to excel with a wide-ranging menu.
“We strive for perfection every day,” he says. “In my mind, there really is no such thing as perfect unless that person sitting at the table has literally said, ‘This is perfect.’ ”
Try This:
Anderson raves about the A5 Miyazaki Kobe Strip Loin ($20 per ounce, 4 ounce minimum), which is imported from Japan. With excellent marbling, texture and firmness, this quality cut of beef needs so little preparation that Anderson gives it just a simple sear. 623 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 216-523-7000, marbleroomcle.com
