With its five tiers of massive concrete slabs nestled into 3,000 feet of Lake Erie coastline, Lakewood Park’s Solstice Steps are like a futuristic Mayan hillside temple with a view that stretches for miles. The $2.1 million project transformed what once was a landfill into a structural marvel that opened in October and has its own geographic tag on Instagram with more than 200 pictures taken there.
