Bonbon Pastry and Cafe: Chef and owner Courtney Bonning keeps last night's party going with her breakfast nachos ($8), a foodie fiesta of crumbly chorizo, creamy avocado, sauteed peppers and onions layered with black beans, cheddar, scallions and a refreshing pico de gallo. 2549 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, 216-458-9225, bonboncleveland.com
Euro Wafel Bar: This small Tower City Center stand packs a lot of big flavors into its house-made Belgian wafels. The Public Square version ($9) is loaded with crumbled Oreo cookies, sliced strawberries and Pierre's vanilla ice cream. But what we really love is the speculoos, a Nutter Butter-like sauce made from crumbled Belgian cookie butter, drizzled on top. Tower City Center, 230 W. Huron Road, Cleveland, 216-858-9443, theeurowafelbar.squarespace.com
Jack Flaps: This Ohio City spot amps up waffles and pancakes, such as the candied jalapeno jack flaps ($9.50), for an in-your-face explosion of flavors thanks to bits of candied peppers sprinkled throughout the batter. A white chocolate sauce cools things off, while a salted caramel coffee crumble tempers the whole experience. 3900 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, 216-961-5199, jack-flaps.com
