Julia Thomson is one of more than 30 local and national acts that will perform.
Julia Thomson may not have an album out yet, but the up-and-coming singer-songwriter does have a slot at the LaureLive music festival. Thomson, an Independence High School grad, joins more than 30 local and national artists such as soul-inspired rocker Hozier and pop-rock all-star Sheryl Crow for the third annual music, arts and culinary festival June 8 & 9 at Laurel School’s Butler Campus. Performing singles like “Hits” and “Spark,” Thomson croons and sways with Alessia Cara-like energy. “My songs kind of have a little bit of a dark side to them,” she says. “Hopefully my music will put people in a good mood, want to dance and sing along.” 7420 Fairmount Road, Russell Township, 216-696-7776, laurelive.com
