After a two-week whole food cleanse seven years ago, Justin Gorski and Laura Ross, the husband and wife team behind Cleveland Vegan, decided to swear off animal products. "We realized how good we felt after, so we just kept going," Gorski says. An unexpected causality of clean eating was their love for brunch. "We used to love to go out on Saturday and Sunday, but there were no options," he says. With the November opening of their Lakewood restaurant, the duo made sure there were plenty of vegan-friendly choices such as the asparagus Benedict ($11), a bright take on the iconic brunch dish.
