Everything is awesome at the Great Lakes Science Center where its Move It display, the final phase of the Build It Lego exhibit, lets kiddos build and create with 1,200 pounds of the colorful bricks. From June 17 to Sept. 4, view the more than 30 Lego sculptures such as a 16-foot-tall re-creation of the first Lego castle and a re-creation of the city of Springfield from The Simpsons. Expert Los Angeles-based Lego builder, Adam Ward, will be on hand the first weekend to teach how to build simple machines such as levers, screws and pulleys. Build It features interactive stations including one where you can make a maze and test it with a marble. “Typically, when you are in a Lego exhibit, you are focused on stepping back and admiring and being in awe of the incredible things people build with Lego,” says Kristen Ellenbogen, president and CEO. “This is a chance to build a lot yourself.” If you want more, the Cleveland Botanical Garden is showing 13 Lego sculptures made by Sean Kenney that represent people, animals and plants in the Nature Connects exhibit through Aug. 27. 601 Erieside Ave., Cleveland, 216-694-2000, greatscience.com; 11030 East Blvd., Cleveland, 216-721-1600, cbgarden.org
