CLE Takeout Guide: Hofbrauhaus Cleveland
Bring home this beer hall’s selection of takeout goodies including sandwiches and family-sized portions of sausage and schnitzel.
“We have plenty of beer in our tanks,” says Andi Udris, president of downtown’s Hofbrauhaus. The German restaurant’s takeout menu revolves around salads, sandwiches and ample family-sized portions (serving up to 10) of sausage and schnitzel, accompanied by pretzels, cheese and potato-based sides. “Our portions are so large at the restaurant that people take them home,” Udris says. But with takeout options, “it’ll be hot and people can eat them at home.”
Try This: The Bierhalle Burger ($13.99) delights with a sweet German mustard, Swiss cheese, Gouda, let-tuce, tomato and Dunkel beer-glazed onions.
