Errands and long hours, that’s the human’s life. But what about the dog’s life? Whether we’re dragging ourselves to the office or dragging ourselves home, Fido is ready to bolt out the door for a walk. We’ve dug up some doggy daycares that are ready to help out when playtime’s on pause for you, making life a little easier for you and your best friend.
Dogtropolis
The spunky Pomeranian runs with the energetic Lab at Connie Karlowicz’s Dogtropolis. Canines enjoy 8,000 square feet of supervised indoor and outdoor fun. A midday nap refreshes them, something both dogs and clients appreciate. When Karlowicz designed the building’s layout, she purposefully placed her office in front for client accessibility. “We know all the dogs by name and all the clients by name,” Karlowicz says. 480 S. Inn to Pets
Inn to Pets has provided daycare and boarding services for 20 years. For the price of one dog walk, customers can purchase the daycare package, which includes three walks, a meal and play time. For boarding, choose from standard, deluxe or luxury suites. There are kitty condo options for feline friends, too. “Our mission is to keep them safe, healthy and happy, and provide peace of mind to their owners,” says owner Dean Koester. 827 Bassett Road, Westlake,

Stay
Stay is Northeast Ohio’s only 24/7 model. “We like to be as flexible as possible around people’s lives and still make the animals well cared for,” says co-owner Amy Forrester. K9Grass lines four play areas viewable on Stay’s webcams and owners can opt for a private living room with cozy furniture from “Grandma’s basement” for their pooch. Additional services entail ice cream treats, grooming, cuddle time and a souvenir photo album. 1265 W. 65 St., Cleveland, 216-346-7872, staydogscle.com
