Thanks to a new library program, there’s now a footbridge across the digital divide. In October, Cleveland Public Library began lending Sprint 4G hot spots to anyone 18 or over with a library card for up to three weeks from any branch and select Cuyahoga County Public Library branches. Users can browse, stream, download, do homework, apply for jobs and more, with no data caps. In addition, a partnership with PCs for People helps connect qualified users to low-cost or free computers and internet. “A lot of patrons coming to the library are using the library as their primary point of internet access,” says Cleveland Public Library TechCentral manager CJ Lynce. “It really opens a potential full experience for the end user.” 325 & 525 Superior Ave., Cleveland, 216-623-2800, cpl.org
