Consider all the steps women go through in order to look good. We pick up a new top at a boutique, head to the makeup counter for some beauty booty, figure out how to apply our new mascara — then go home feeling exhausted.
Seek solace inside the comforts of Haven Style House, a single stop for accessible, fashion-forward clothing and makeup right in downtown Chagrin Falls.
"Most women are using all of these different people to create one look," says co-owner Cori Imbrigiotta, who opened the boutique in March with her best friend from high school, Anne Rutter.
Haven Style House goes beyond your typical shop by offering more than just clothes. An in-house makeup artist with a Chanel pedigree is on call for private parties. Clients can book an event for six to 12 women (starting at $50 per person) and get a 20 percent discount on all items, plus an express makeup application and complimentary drinks.
"We want to have this inner community at our store," says Imbrigiotta.
The backbone of Haven Style House's buying philosophy is filling the crisp, modern store with pieces that are hand-picked and sparingly stocked for a reason.
Pick up stretchy skinny jeans by Blank NYC ($88) or a sassy yellow tailored biker jacket by Lucca Couture ($135) made from vegan leather. Find easy styles such as LNA's crew ($45) or baseball tee ($65).
The boutique also carries mineral cosmetics by Youngblood — the line's lip glosses go for around $20. A collection of contemporary jewelry is cultivated from Etsy artists such as Ayofemi whose stackable stringy bracelets ($24 each, or three for $60) come in juicy summer colors. The shop also carries handmade leather clutches by Marketa New York ($45-$150).
"Our tagline is 'style made simple,' " says Rutter. "It's about empowering women and [establishing] relationships that promote personal style and self-confidence."
