Cleveland: Could your taste buds use a little more spice in their life? Then pick a Thursday and head to Wonder Bar on East Fourth Street for the Caribbean Nights special.
Starting at 5 p.m., the bar offers deals on Jamaican beer, margaritas and a few island-inspired dishes. The Cubano pizza ($12) blends provolone and mozzarella cheese with Amish ham and pickles that add a tart crunch. The Caribbean jerk wings wake up your mouth with curry and cumin ($5).
Enjoy the wings with a Red Stripe ($4 on special), or build your own margarita, and choose from Patrón ($10) or Sauza ($8) tequila; pineapple, mango, guava and lime juices; and your choice of sugar or salt lining the rim of your glass.
Although the service could have been a little more island-friendly, don’t worry if your drink isn’t served with a smile. The reggae band Doc Enigma and Soulistik Fire, which starts at 8 p.m., lightens the mood.
