The Cleveland International Film Festival is back for its 35th year.
You don't need to use up your frequent flier miles to get away this winter. You just need to head to Tower City Cinemas for the 35th Cleveland International Film Festival and take in There Once Was An Island (pictured), which follows residents of the tropical island Takuu. "It's a film that shows how cultures could disappear because of climate change," says CIFF artistic director Bill Guentzler. Starting March 24, the festival will show more than 150 feature-length movies and 130 short subject films. "Not only do these films teach audiences about different cultures," Guentzler says, "these are films that are important to the world." 230 W. Huron Road, Cleveland, 877-304-3456, clevelandfilm.org
