We went in search of the city the average person never sees: a 510-foot hole in the ground where NASA does zero-gravity research, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum archive where Prince’s “Purple Rain” jacket lives, a Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland vault tended by robots and stacked high with box after box of cold, hard cash. Along the way, we rediscovered amazing parts of our history we tend to take for granted: the grand lobby of the Huntington Bank Building, the world’s first arc light (a replica still hangs at the north end of Public Square) and the unique characters who rest in peace in our cemeteries. It’s a unique tour of the city you’re not likely to forget anytime soon.
