Larry Orlowski has a secret. The early bird not only gets the worm, it gets treated to the best view of North Coast Harbor. “The lake is usually calm at the break of dawn,” says Orlowski, Rock & Dock general manager. “You can see the sun glisten off the water.” Head out on a paddleboat, stand-up paddleboard, personal watercraft or kayak available for rent for a half-hour and hour slots. Or opt for the new GoBoat, a personal rubber bumper boat. You can sit, stand and even fish in these little saucers with a bench seat and a hand-controlled trolling motor with enough steam to get you far away enough to take in nice views. “It’s one of the rare places in Cleveland where you can see everything,” says Orlowski. 1020 E.
