Dim Sum, Varies | Li Wah
The dim sum here is an institution. As steam carts circulate 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, diners try options from adventurous (chicken feet) to traditional (pork dumplings) with offerings tripling on Sundays and lines often out the door. We recommend the whipped beef balls with watercress ($3.25), steamed barbecue pork buns with sticky, sweet hoisin sauce ($2.75) and sui mei, a smooth blend of shrimp, pork shoulder and shiitake mushrooms ($3.25). "It's a leisurely thing," says manager Randy Hom. "Have a discussion as carts are coming by."
