Why She’s Interesting: Kara Maxine Bieber says that adaptation has always been a key skill through her years as a student, social media influencer, entrepreneur and baseball wife. Whether traveling to new regions, meeting new people, juggling multiple business ventures or brainstorming creative ways to evolve her brands, the secret to her success is flexibility. “The biggest thing is learning how to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations,” says Bieber.
(Girl) Power in Numbers: Her early success spawned a new community-based brand, Kinlike, centered on women empowerment. “It started when I did my Monday questions on Instagram and a girl in Cleveland was like, ‘I just really want to feel a better sense of community,’ and the Cleveland women’s walk was the end result,” says Bieber, whose husband Shane is on the Cleveland Guardians. “I wanted Kinlike to offer women a sense of community and open the doors for new friendships because I just don’t think we’re meant to go through life without those connections.”
Business Mode: Since launching her clothing brand KMKollection in 2020, Bieber’s approach to new projects is ever-evolving. What started as a simple outlet for her love of fashion has become a trendy hub for wardrobe staples.
Evolving Approach: Although Bieber’s collection started from basics, it continues to grow. “I see KMKollection as a representation of what I’m feeling fashion-wise. It reflects my style and evolves, as I do,” she says.
