Fill all your nostalgic holiday needs at Tremont’s Wizard of Oddz. Owner Megan Baechle shares three decorations you’ll want to snag this season.
Shiny Brites: If you want to keep these glass ornaments for the long haul, skip putting them on a tree or hanging them up at all. Instead grab a large clear glass vase and stack them on top of each other for a colorful and festive centerpiece. “You can add some battery operated lights, for the colors to really shine through,” says Baechle.
Popcorn decorations: Most popular in the ’70s and ’80s, these wall hangings are great on glass windows and doors for a decorative touch. Just poke a hole in them and add a suction cup, and you’re good to go. “They look the best if you group them together,” she says. “It looks really festive without having to do a lot of work.”
Blow molds: Decorate your yard with these large vintage figures that are mostly hand-painted. But for the smaller statues, in-home displays are best. “It’s almost more fun to use them in your home around your tree or on your tabletop,” says Baechle. “I think it looks nicest to pick an area and keep them together.”
