From June 25 to 29, Clevelanders can watch 15 life-size animatronic dinosaurs during “Walking with Dinosaurs” at Quicken Loans Arena. With eyes that blink and rove, muscles that ripple, and mobility that’s so lifelike you have to see it to believe it, the live action production is designed to give a taste of what it was like to hang out with the prehistoric creatures during their 200 million years on Earth.
“We had discussed in our first meeting what the dinosaurs should do. The designer of the dinosaurs, the scenic designer, and the composer and I all sat around and growled and roared at each other, timed it, and mapped it all out,” says director Scott Faris. “It’s a sensory immersion experience that is just ... cool!”
