There are some things you just can't find anywhere else.Thankfully, they're all under one roof at the West Side Market.
Gothic Dark & Stormy Coffee Beans
A mix of Indonesian and French Roast beans, this coffee brews up a bold flavor. It's one of the few varieties from City Roast not offered at the company's Tremont outpost, Civilization. $13 per pound
Bone-in Sirloin Steak
Most butchers take the bone out of their sirloins. But Vince Bertonaschi, owner of Vince's Meats, does it a little differently. He leaves the bone in, which produces a huge slab of meat that includes the tenderloin, too. $6.79 per pound
Galanga
It's a hard-to-find member of the ginger family. The next time you're working on an Americanized Thai recipe that calls for the root vegetable, go to Narrin's Asian Spice to get galanga instead. $5 per half pound
Cahill's whiskey cheese
Outside of the Cheese Shop, you'd be hard-pressed to find this cheddar cheese in Cleveland. Try it on a grilled cheese sandwich — if you can make it home without devouring the alcohol-tinged goodie. $19.95 per pound
black tip shark
Shark meat has a mild flavor, so amp up the entree by marinating it or using a heavy hand when seasoning it. Classic Seafood Market is one of the only places that reliably stocks the unusual fish. $6.99 per pound
