Why She’s Interesting: Morgan Wright has loved reality TV for as long as she can remember — so much so that she decided to make a career out of it. Along with hosting the morning show on Q104, the Willoughby resident has turned into one of the internet’s big reality television social media personalities.
Talk About It: Wright had always done pop culture reports on the radio but began dabbling in the social media space during the pandemic. The first video she posted on TikTok, which broke down what was happening on The Real Housewives, got more than a million views. “I just kept seeing the number of likes climbing and thought, ‘Maybe I can do this to pass the time.’”
This Rose is For You: Wright became part of reality TV in 2019 when The Bachelor came to Cleveland to film for Season 15, as she and WEWS’ Jon Doss acted as faux sideline commentators for the challenge that was filmed at Cleveland Browns Stadium. “I was complaining on the radio that morning about how they wouldn’t approve me to be in the audience, and then later in the day, I got a call from an L.A. number asking if I wanted to be in the episode. When someone from L.A. calls you, you always pick up.”
Back to Reality: Wright isn’t the biggest Bachelor fan, but she loves The Golden Bachelor, which has caught the attention of her whole household. “My husband hates reality TV and even he’s hooked.”
312,000: The amount of combined followers Wright has on TikTok and Instagram as of December.
