Founder of Latino Cleveland Hispanic Marketing and Advertising Agency
How she caught our eye: This Puerto Rican beauty can fire up the dance floor, throw an event for hundreds of people and multitask more in five minutes than most of us do in an hour.
The perfect date: I'll be honest with you: I do not date enough to even really know! ... I don't like to be in big crowded places, so I do enjoy environments that are a little bit more intimate. ... I love to eat out. So to me a good date is great conversation, good laughter, good food and fun.
Something most people don't know about me: My first sales gig was selling bibles door to door in a rural area in Ohio while in high school.
My passion: I'm very passionate about my Latino community and my culture and keeping traditional things alive, like the music, the food. I enjoy producing live entertainment for the Latino community. Producing an event in the summer, with a 16-piece live band, dancing, usually with attendance of 400-500 people.
Biggest turn-on: I like an active man who takes pride in their work, takes care of themselves. A big turn-on for me is when that guy is excited about me being an entrepreneur and shares my passion. ... They're lifting me up instead of holding me down.
Biggest turnoff: When somebody doesn't understand the time demands of being an entrepreneur and a single parent. I have one daughter.
I own too many: I really don't. I believe in moderation. I don't have excess of anything.
... musician/band: Gilberto Santa Rosa. He's a salsa legend, who was just recently here in October for the Ohio Latino Festival at Nautica.
... sports team: I still love the Cavs. Besides the fact that Anderson [Verajao] has the same curly hair as me. He does. We're like brother and sister. Nothing will ever take me away from my home teams. I love the Browns. I still remember being a little girl by my radio recording "Bernie Bernie."
... TV show: I really enjoy Dexter. I love the psyche of the mind. I like funny shows, I enjoy Modern Family a lot and Desperate Housewives.
... vacation destination: I would really like to go overseas and visit Rome or Italy. But if I was to take a short weekend, I would love to go to Jamaica.
... dessert: I really enjoy pineapple upside down cake even though a lot of people don't make it anymore. My mom has the recipe.
... blog: latinocleveland.com. ... I'm not really on the Internet like that because it's just exhausting to me. ... I release my thoughts on paper a lot. I carry a planner. My friends laugh at me because everyone is technology, and they put all their notes, their appointments, into their computer, their BlackBerry. I'm very traditional. I carry a planner that has every single day of the year documented.
My usual hangout: I enjoy Johnny Mangos, best mojitos. And I enjoy their food. I live in Lakewood. I enjoy Lakewood living. It's so true: It's a college town without a college.
In high school I was ... a lot more free spirited. I was a clown, a big-time clown. I was really about making people laugh.
And now I'm ... I'm still a clown. That has not changed. That's who I am, and that's who I'll always be.
My first kiss: I attended a private school that was very strict. ... We sneaked off to this little river. It was romantic. We went under a bridge next to a river to hide, and to this day, we still stay in contact. I was about 14.
My guilty pleasure: If I'm feeling down, I go to Friendly's, and I buy the biggest Reese's [Peanut Butter] Cup Sundae, and I will eat every single bit of it. ... I swear it makes me feel better. I feel guilty, but it's so good.
How my ex would describe me: I have a very, very giving heart. I always put other people's needs before my own. ... She's funny. She's silly. And they would say that I'm a good mother and my home comes first.
Going out or staying in: Stay in, but every once in a while I need to get loose. I enjoy getting dressed up like a girl, smelling good, getting dressed up and going out, but not every weekend.
Early, late or right on time: on time
Dogs or cats: Dogs. I have a cocker spaniel.
Dancing ... yes or no?: Yes
Twitter ... yes or no?: Only for business
My longest relationship: Seven years
Beer, wine or martinis: Beer. I enjoy Samuel Adams.
Roses or chocolates: I enjoy flowers; I don't know if it's roses.
My No. 1 dating rule: It has to happen naturally. I don't use dating services or anything like that. ... Sometimes I'm so focused on my business that I stay busy to avoid it. But I really do think I'm due for a really good date.
My deal-breaker: Someone that doesn't understand the time demand of single parenting, that's not supportive of my entrepreneurship, who doesn't understand being with a businesswoman. Sometimes that's kind of hard for guys.
I hate when a date ... I hate when they're late and they don't call. I like someone to show respect for my time. That's a big thing for me. I'm such a multitasker. I can accomplish a lot in five minutes. Even if you're five minutes late, I can do a lot, so I appreciate communication.
But I love when a date ... I like surprises. I love it when a date pays attention to the little things you say and then they just pop out of nowhere, kind of prove that they were listening in a sense.
Worst pickup line: I blocked them out!
If I could date anyone: I'm not into stars. Going out with a George Clooney, I like the more down-to-earth guy. I like the underdog.
On a first date I never ... kiss.
Best place to meet someone: I think friends — married couples do such a great job hooking up their single friends. I need to make married friends. Your friends already know you.
Most unusual place I've met someone: Once I got a flat tire, and this guy came and helped me out, and we kind of started dating after that. The hero guy! I was the damsel in distress.
My take on Cleveland's single scene: There's a lot of singles that do not come out, and there's no real good way to meet other singles.
