Thanks, Mike Roberts for a nice constructive piece on The Plain Dealer ("Pain Dealer," September 2010). As a native and former PD staff member, who loves Cleveland, I am encouraged by your report card. While some city papers are becoming wallpaper, the Plain Dealer evidently continues to be a watchdog and brave contributor. I loved the kicker, though, about one shortcoming, that the LeBron who left town on the PD's watch was a guy we never knew.

Market Memories
As a graduate of private, Catholic elementary and high schools, I recognize the importance of Cleveland Magazine highlighting our area's excellent educational options ("Molding Minds," September 2010). I was disappointed to see that St. Paschal Baylon School in Highland Heights was not on the list of featured elementary schools.
