I do some traveling. I own my own sales rep company and it’s kind of funny, I’ll be in Columbus or somewhere like that or someplace that’s not that close to Strongsville and I tell them that we live in Strongsville. They’ll say, “Oh, we come up to the mall sometimes.” I mean, even people that live an hour away go to the mall in Strongsville.
We have a new rec centerthat’s about 7 or 8 years old. It’s pretty state-of-the-art. It’s got a nice pool, a great workout area, indoor track.
Strongsville has got a pretty good reputation. If you follow high school sports, they’ve got good teams in soccer and football and wrestling and basketball and baseball. So I think a lot of people here are into sports.

If you want to go shopping, you can go to the mall; if you want to do your own thing and be out in the country a little bit, you can go in the park system. There are a lot of nice picnic areas there.
They were building a lot of houses in the late ’80s, early ’90s. A lot of people just migrated out this way, and we kinda followed.
We have a travel baseball organization; we have 34 travel teams this year between the ages of 8 and 18 years old. Probably most popular ages for the travel is 11-, 12-, 13-year-olds.
We have five or six teams at every age, so you don’t have to be a top player to make a travel team.
We run a big tournament every yearMemorial Day weekend in Strongsville. We have 78 teams this year coming from as far away as Pittsburgh and Columbus. We pretty much use all 15 fields to play from Friday night through Monday night.
