Adam Bostwick, 30, Executive chef and co-owner of Cork & Cleaver Social Kitchen
Hidden talent: I'm pretty good at art. I'm good at drawing, and things along those lines when I get time.
Biggest fear: Honestly, it's losing family. I'm very family-oriented.
My bad habit: I bite my nails.
My guilty pleasure: Those Little Debbie seasonal cakes. Sometimes they're hearts, sometimes they're Christmas trees.
You'd never guess: I don't really hide much from people. There's not much people don't know about me.
I can't live without: I would say family. I'm crazy about my family — it comes before anything for me. All my best friends are my cousins.
My hero: My mom. She keeps everybody in my family together. We go through a lot, and I look up to her more than anybody.
On my bucket list: I want to go to the Price is Right. And just kind of travel more. Being a chef and a restaurant person, there are so many different foods and different things like that out there. I just want to experience it all and try different cuisines and different styles and see how other places do it.
Biggest accomplishment: Opening my restaurant. When I was a little kid, I used to play with pots and pans and throw Legos and crayons into them and pretend I was cooking. ... I would talk about how I wanted to open up a restaurant. My goal in life was to own one by the age of 30 and I did it when I was 29, so that was pretty awesome for me.
When I'm not working: I'm a huge Cleveland sports fan. I have season tickets for the Browns. I try to go to as many Indians and Cavs games as often as I can.
Find me here on a Saturday night: In my restaurant. When I'm in the restaurant, I'm always cooking. I'm on the line with my guys.
If I had one wish: I just want to be successful and I want everybody who's involved with my business to be successful. I want to own a couple more restaurants down the road and just keep going with the success we're having and just let it grow. I don't want to be a millionaire, not that I don't aspire to be, but I don't need money to be happy.
Once-in-a-lifetime moment: It comes back to the restaurant for me. The way everything kind of fell into place was almost like a perfect storm.
On death row, my last meal would be: I eat peanut butter and jelly all the time, so I would probably want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And then, probably my mom's chicken paprikash.
If I won the Mega Millions, I'd spend it on: I'd pay off the house. I would probably do the same for the people in my family, and then I'd probably open up another restaurant.
My No. 1 dating rule: I hate when people are on their phones too much. If the company is not good enough for you to be talking to me or having a good time and you have to be on your phone, then obviously there's something wrong.
Deal-breakers: When you go somewhere and ... the waiter comes, and they don't make eye contact and treat them more as a servant than a server — that kind of stuff.
The perfect date: Eating in a nice restaurant and just enjoying each other's company to the point where it doesn't feel like you're actually on a date — it just feels like you're there with somebody that's a friend.
I'm a sucker for: Corny, cheesy movies and comedies.
Most romantic thing you've ever done: I got somebody off of work to go out on a date with me.
What I look for in a significant other: Somebody that's family-oriented, and likes to have fun and laugh. Someone whose not afraid to be themselves, cares about the right things in life and isn't shallow.
Celebrity dream date: I've always had a crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Celebrity look-alike: I get told all the time that I look like Charlie from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Dogs or cats: Dogs.
Beach or mountains: Mountains.
Signature dish: Reuben Ribs. I corn and brine them to taste like corned beef, and then I make a slaw with all the ingredients that would be in a Thousand Island dressing, and then we finish with rye salt and Gruyere cheese. When you put it all together, it's like eating a Reuben sandwich.
How I stay healthy: I'm constantly dealing with food, so I have the conscious effort in front of me to control what I'm eating a little bit better. I cook for myself and I control what I eat mainly through where I am all day long.
Favorite ... love story: Probably my parents. In an age where sometimes marriages don't last long, my parents knew each other since they were in high school. I want what they have. ... book: I've never been a big reader because I don't have a ton of time to read, but I'm a huge cookbook fan. ... TV show: The Wire. I watch that series over and over again. ... movie: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. ... blog: I follow Bite Buff. She's a local foodie that goes to a lot of local restaurants around here and tries a bunch of stuff. I know her personally ... [and] I like when somebody I know isn't afraid to be brutally honest with everybody, including me. ... music: My favorite band is 311. ... restaurant: I'm a huge fan of Nino's Italian Restaurant in North Ridgeville. ... app: CBS Sports, because I'm into fantasy football.
What I'm reading: Tartine by Elisabeth M. Prueitt and Chad Robertson.
iPod embarrassment: I have a couple of Miley Cyrus songs, and we were just listening to the Spice Girls in the kitchen the other day.
I'm so over: People talking about the return of LeBron.
Dream job: I currently have it. I think I'm lucky to be 30 years old and be doing my dream job.
Dream vacation: Going to Italy. I want to go there and just experience the food and the culture.
Best date I've been on: We went out, got some food in Tremont and just hung out and clicked. It was really simple and the right place, right time. We had a really good dinner and really good conversation, and after that we went back and just hung out in the neighborhood.
Worst date I've been on: I went on one where we barely even made it through dinner. We were talking about really simple things, and it came down to one of those situations where I went to pay the bill and they saw how much I was writing in for the tip, and they were questioning me on why I would give that much. We knew immediately it was kind of not worth it.
