The perfect date: 18 holes of golf, followed by a good dinner, a Cavs game, an episode of The Office and a good bottle of wine
Something most people don’t know about me: I have three alarm clocks and still oversleep.
My cell phone: I’ve converted to the iPhone, and I’m not proud of it. I don’t think I’m an iPhone person. I’m trying my best not to become an iPhone person though it does have a lot of cool applications.
Biggest turn-on: Brains, intelligence
Biggest turnoff: Being really late and people who cancel
I own too many: Ties
My favorite … place in Cleveland: Lolita in Tremont. It has great food, great atmosphere, and it’s in a fun neighborhood. … sports team: Cavaliers … book: Partly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs … vacation destination: Las Vegas and Karpathos, Greece — that’s where my family’s from … dessert: Former banana split at Blue Point Grille … blog: The Power of 5 weather blog
Facebook: yes or no? I am on Facebook. It seems like everyone is on it, and it’s a good way to reconnect with people you thought you’d never talk to, or care to talk to, again.
My usual hangout: Aside from the weather office at Channel 5, the Map Room. It’s laid-back, friendly, and you never know who you might run into.
In high school I was … really skinny and had a flat top.
My passion: Weather and golf
My best feature: My smile
My bad habit: Fantasy sports. I usually have two or three football leagues and sometimes a baseball and basketball league, too. It takes a lot of time; it’s frustrating, but fun.
My first kiss: Was wet, awkward and in my parents’ basement.
My guilty pleasure: Watching old sports games on ESPN Classic and then watching six consecutive Office episodes afterwards
How my ex would describe me: See my answer to the favorite book question.
Blondes or brunettes: Both
Going out or staying in: A mix of both. Sometimes it’s great to stay in and have a quiet night, and sometimes you just want to have a little action.
Early, late or right on time: Right on time: See things that turn me off.
Dogs or cats: Dogs definitely. They’re loyal, they’re smart, and they come to you when you say, “Come here.” Cats have their own agenda — and I’m allergic to them.
My longest relationship: Two years
Beer, wine or martinis: Depends on the night, but I would say beer while watching a game and wine with dinner.
Roses or chocolates: Chocolate
My No. 1 dating rule: Rules stink. No rules, just fun.
My deal-breaker: Lying, smoking and having more than two cats
I hate when a date orders … just a salad.
Worst pick up line: It was said to me at a bar: “I’ve never been rejected.” I responded: “Until now, you mean.”
If I could marry anyone: Elin Nordegren, Tiger’s ex-wife. Do I even have to give a reason?
On a first date you never… expect anything.
Best place to meet someone: Gas station
Most unusual place I’ve met someone: Sitting next to someone in an airplane. You’ve got to love Southwest! You get to choose where you want to sit.
My take on Cleveland’s single scene: I think we’re very lucky in Cleveland. There’s a good mix of different kinds of people. Most are smart, down-to-earth, friendly and close to their families. It gets an unfair, bad reputation.
