Emily C. Allen walked down the aisle in this sheer cotton-and-lace wedding dress to marry Solon Lewis Severance, one of the founders of Euclid Avenue National Bank. The gown's large cage crinoline hoopskirt was a staple in Civil War-era fashion.
1925
This silk chiffon and taffeta confection exuded Roaring '20s flair with a straighter silhouette and applique petals. Phyllis Peckham, daughter of automobile sales giant George Grant Peckham, purchased it at retailer Euclid Avenue Quinn-Maahs.
1951
The little black dress by Parisian designer Jacques Fath features faille silk over a black lace underdress and was worn by Mary Peters Bolton, wife of Cleveland Air Taxi president Kenyon C. Bolton.
1977
French designer Pierre Cardin created this emerald example of the '50s bubble dress. Sarah Sato, wife of doctor Sam I. Sato, wore the piece to an opening night performance of the Metropolitan Opera in Cleveland.
