Tricked-out spaces: Each of the Metropolitan Hotel's 156 modernist rooms in red, black and white has local touches such as black-and-white images of the rotunda covering facial tissue boxes and gold-paneled headboards that replicate the Ameritrust Tower's original front doors. Raised above the hotel's lobby, two gargantuan chandeliers will each hold 2,000 hand-blown glass orbs by local artist Kevin Busta. A 68-foot-long single chandelier is just feet away.
High-profile clientele: It's either the worst-kept secret in town or a great marketing ploy, but Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is rumored to be taking up residence in one of the 16 chic sky suites. Each room comes with a 55-inch TV hung on a mirrored wall, which shares space with a built-in 100-inch electric fireplace. The best part? The bathroom offers a bird's-eye view of Progressive Field.
Life of luxury: Residents also receive access to concierge service from the Metropolitan and room service from Adega, the complex's Mediterranean restaurant.
