Life-size sperm whales swim into the Cleveland Museum of Natural History on Oct. 20, giving an up-close glimpse of life beneath the ocean's surface. Measuring 17.8 meters long, the authentic male and female skeletons are the centerpieces of the Whales | Tohora exhibit, highlighting species native to the South Pacific. "Obviously, we don't have any whales here in Cleveland," says Joel Alpern, director of exhibits, "but this show gives us the opportunity to bring that side of the world here."
