The perfect date: As long as you're having fun and you're excited to be with that person, I think that makes a good date.
Something most people don't know about me: I grew up watching all the classic comedians, like Carol Burnett, SNL, Eddie Murphy, and I loved Johnny Carson when I was little.
My passion: I like to see the best in people, and I love to hear people's stories and what made them who they are today.
My favorite ... sports team: The Indians. ... musician/band: Coldplay. ... TV show: Right now I'm obsessed with The Mindy Project. Sometimes I feel like the dialogue is a transcript of what I've just said to my girlfriends. It's so funny. ... place in Cleveland: I really like the West 25th Ohio City area. I feel like there are so many places you can go. ... book: Emma by Jane Austen. I like the character Emma. I can relate to her. ... vacation destination: Hawaii. ... way to exercise: Running on the treadmill. ... month: December, because of the holidays. ... website: I love the website Someecards. There's always one that's hilarious that I have to send to someone. ... drink: Christmas Ale. Great Lakes, of course.
My usual hangout: I like West 25th — the Bier Markt. I love Hilarities, the comedy club at Pickwick & Frolic on East Fourth. I love concerts, so I love outdoor concerts at Blossom. And then when it's nice out, the lake.
In high school I was ... class president. I cared more about what others thought about me and wanted to fit in.
And now I'm ... much more comfortable in my own skin and being who I am.
My No. 1 dating rule: I don't have any hard and fast rules.
My deal-breaker: Someone who's not really close with their family.
On a first date I never ... bring up exes.
Biggest turn-on: I love a sense of humor. That's my weakness. And of course, someone who's intelligent but not in a smarty-pants kind of way, and someone who's loyal, trustworthy and honest. All those are good qualities.
Biggest turnoff: Someone who's really negative.
My hidden talent: I can do a lot of accents. I've pranked my own family members. I can do British, I can do a little bit Hispanic, I can do Indian, I can do a little bit Bronx, a little bit Irish, but sometimes my British and Irish get a little mixed up.
I own too many ... probably others would say shoes, but I think it's the right amount.
My best feature: My sense of humor or that I'm pretty laid back and chill. I could strike up a conversation or be friends with just about anyone.
My bad habit: I'm a big procrastinator. I don't know how I made it through college and med school, but I seem to do well at the 11th hour.
My first kiss: It was at a dance in my teens.
My guilty pleasure: Teen melodramas. I DVR Gossip Girl.
How my ex would describe me: I don't think they'd say anything hateful — probably that I'm a nice, decent human being, and it just wasn't the right time.
How my best friend would describe me: Funny or hilarious, loyal.
Going out or staying in: I think it depends on the moment. I like going out with friends and enjoying the city or staying in and watching a movie and being at home.
Early, late or right on time: I'm usually either early or right on time, but rarely late.
Morning person or night owl: I've adapted because of my work that I'm a morning person, but I think if it were up to me, I'd be a night owl.
Dogs or cats: I have neither, but if I did, it would definitely be a dog. I just think they're more playful, and I always wanted one when I was little. Cats have too much personality for me.
iPhone or Android: iPhone. It was my first smartphone. I like finally made it out of the flip phone era, and once I went to iPhone, I'm never going back.
Dancing, yes or no: I love to dance. I just like something with a good beat that I can dance to.
Twitter, yes or no: No. I haven't jumped on that bandwagon yet.
My longest relationship: About two years.
My biggest goal right now: To keep trying to improve myself and trying to be the best person I can be.
Celebrity crush: I love Adam Levine.
Most unusual place I've met someone: The elevator once. It was in my apartment building, and he asked me for coffee.
My take on Cleveland's single scene: I think there's a lot of great singles out there, you just have to make the effort to meet them and go out.
What do you find sexy about yourself? I don't know if you'd consider this sexy, but my sense of humor and being laid back.
Why do you think you're single? I think that it's just never meeting the right person at the right time, whether it's the timing or just wasn't the right fit. And I'm not one to settle.
