The height of luxury living can be found along any coastline. But there’s no need to pack your bags and ship yourself off to the beaches of Italy — instead, just look down the road.
700 Lake, a project spearheaded by Cleveland-based real estate development group Brickhaus Partners, has just completed the first construction phase of the luxury living community that aims to push the Lake Erie shore to its fullest potential. Brickhaus founder Andrew Brickman and managing director Alexandra Yonkov and their team have aimed to create a lakefront residence that combines classic architecture and modern living, while also fitting into the surrounding community.
“We knew we had to take advantage of this view as much as possible,” says Yonkov. “The eastern views are really surprising to us as we were designing,” says Yonkov. “Again, we were looking at the north and the corners. But then when we built the building, we saw how actually, the lake is very eastern too.”
After its completion, the project will consist of 25 condos and eight townhomes, chock full of high-end amenities and showstopping views. With over 70% of the community already sold, including the top floor penthouse, here’s three things to know about the project, set to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.

Beyond The Lake
Sitting in the heart of the Rocky River community, the condos and townhomes were designed to maximize views of Lake Erie. “It’s the closest you can get to living on a cruise ship,” says Brickhaus development and sales associate Zach Norton. While the top floor penthouse unit has already sold for around $3 million, most units throughout the buildings have showstopping views from all angles. “The condo building is positioned almost on the edge of the water, so every home will have sweeping panoramic views of the lake,” says Norton.

Intentional DesignWhen future residents manage to peel themselves away from the striking views of the lake, they’ll find an interior design that meets a blend of minimalism and modern aesthetics. “On the north side or facing the lake, the goal was to open it up to the lake as much as possible, because that was the star of the show,” says architect Mark Giessen.
Along with the indoors being furnished with high-quality finishing materials shipped directly from Italy, including the wood, ceramic tile, cabinetry and doors, the outdoor design was also planned out to fit nicely into the surrounding communities. As you climb higher towards the penthouse, the design becomes highly modern, mixing more glass materials. Meanwhile, on the ground, the townhomes will follow a more traditional style that embraces brick and stone.
Made To Entertain
Along with the picturesque windows and modern interiors, each of the residences feature cantilevered balconies for private outdoor entertaining. Other amenities include a high-end infinity pool, an outdoor kitchen, and private firepit right on the lake’s edge. Plus, the building's location lends itself to the lake while also being a close proximity to the surrounding suburb. “There’s also walkability everywhere,” says Yonkov. “That’s a rare thing to find where you go anywhere nearby.”
