Exciting refinements are being made to the Cleveland Guardians’ four uniforms as part of Cleveland’s City Connect, creating uniforms that help celebrate the City of Cleveland, bridging the gaps between the team’s historic past with its present.
The new uniforms will honor the club’s 124-year history with a blue alternative road uniform, a red alternative home uniform, a white home uniform and a gray road uniform.
The blue road uniform will have the most distinct changes, while maintaining the team’s set navy base. The uniform will move away from the word “Cleveland” across the chest, and will instead feature the Guardians’ Diamond C logo. The jersey will entail red-white-red fabric to complement the navy base.
A new font will plaster across the chest of the red alternate uniform, to the club’s Bridge Print font. The fabric will showcase a blue-white-blue look.
The white home uniform will continue its primary historic look with “Guardians” written across the chest. The logo will be horizontal instead of slanted. The fabric on the jersey will be red-blue-red design on the neckline and arms. A new home hat will also accompany the white jersey. The color of the hat will change to red with a blue bill. The Diamond C will still be featured on the hats.
And finally, the gray road uniform will stay the same, featuring “Cleveland” across the chest in Bridge Print font. Fabric on the gray uniform will remain the same red-blue-red color scheme.
